Here's a card I've made using one of the new images from Digistamp Boutique - if you've not seen them yet, I'd recommend a looksie cos there are some fab ones, including this one:
Ingredients:
Image - Digistamp Boutique coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers
Papers - First Edition 'Spring Feast'
Other - Ladybird Button from the Hobby House, other Buttons, Ribbon and Daffodils from stash.
So - what do you think of how I've coloured Louie the Bear? It was kind of an experiment with my new flexmarkers but I was pretty pleased with how he turned out.
I'm also entering my card into Sweet Sketch Wednesday, as I've followed Sketch 192, MarkerPOP's 'Texturizing' challenge and the monthly challenge at Digistamp Boutique and I think that's it.
You know I've just been watching a TV programme called 'Taboo: Ugly' about so called ugly people - or society's perception of 'ugly' and there's a little 8 year old boy on there from America called Nathaniel who's got Treacher Collins syndrome, which causes facial deformity and my heart is literally breaking for him because of how cruel people can be to such a lovely little boy, just because of the way he looks. I think it's the people that are cruel to him and those that judge others for what's on the outside instead of the inside, that are the ugly ones!!! I'd love to give Nathaniel a big hug and tell him how brave and wonderful he is! With that said, I'm off to visit you all now! TTFN.........x
Adorable! Love the flower embellishments that you used. Happy to have you with us at SSW.

Gorgeous card sweetie how cute is this bear.
ReplyDeleteUnfortuately people dont know how to act to people being different from themselves unfortunately though it is due to upbringing as well. I've had it with my mum all my life & Natalie all her life, people stare, kids can be mean but unless its a cruel world we live shug, hopefully one day it will change & evryone will be treated as equals. When my dad was alive he would love to push Natalie & at the time she didnt have a peg we had to put a naso-gastric tube down her nose every day for 8 years, anyway if we were out & my dad saw peopple staring he would simply in a loud enough voice say 'See Natalie darling, thats how beautiful you are, people are staring at you' how totally awesome was he..........me sadly though gets really mad at it but my dad handled it the best way as the people would often go red with embarassment & realise what they have done.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx
