Morning All. I couldn't believe it when I woke up to even more snow today!!! The rain had pretty much washed the last lot away and I didn't think we were getting any more but sure enough, the white stuff's there again!!
Anyways - there's a new challenge today over at Paper Cupcakes and Carol wanted us to use any Paper Cupcakes image to make a Christmas Ornament - now I must confess, this one really stumped me at first and I even went back to Nina and asked if I could sit this one out. But, bless her, she had complete faith in me and asked me to give it another go and here's what I came up with:
Turns out, I was overcomplicating the issue - do you ever do that?? I used one of my Marianne Designs die and my cuttlebug to cut out the same shape in both red Bazzill Basics card and white card (from stash) - that already had the Paper Cupcakes image (Owls on Candy Cane) printed on it, then I trimmed the edges off the white card so that I could mat it into the centre of the red. I coloured the image with promarkers and my ever faithful stickles and viva pearly pen, used a Papermania 'Noel' sticker and attached a loop of ribbon to the back with DST and there we have it - one ornament to hang on the tree!! (So I hung it on my branches that light up to take a photo!)
So - what do you think? Do you reckon it turned out OK? As always, thanks for any comments. Bye for now.....
