Hello!! We're back from Legoland. The hotel we stayed in was very plush! Had a great time at the park itself, even though the weather on the first day wasn't great but made up for it cos we hardly had to queue for anything, then the second day we had nicer weather but it was soooo much busier. Some of the rides were great - I'm not into the really death-defying ones and the ones at legoland were right on my level. Also - the things there that are made out of lego - especially everything in 'miniland', which has got replicas of all different landmarks and buildings around the world, have got to be seen to be believed!! They're amazing. It almost made me want to come home and start building things with my son's lego!!
And it's another card made for a challenge over on the docrafts site! I'm really getting into taking part in the challenges - they either give me inspiration or they make me try something different. This one was for the 'Monday Challenge', which is a sketch provided by the lovely Loretta.
I was pretty pleased with this one, I love the image and colours.....

Ingredients: WOJ Stamp watercoloured with chalk ink. Papers - My Mind's Eye Pretty Please. Pink Card - Bazzill Basics. Flowers - Prima Brownie Tiny Tots. Sentiment - Craftwork Cards (coloured with chalk inks).

This is a card I made for one of the challenges over on the docrafts website. It's the 'Sunday Stamping Challenge' and you had to use embossing, vellum (not something I use very often!!) and ribbon. I absolute love this stamp - I think she looks so sexy and cool and I've been waiting to use her for a while, so for the challenge, I thought I'd try to make it look like she's on the stage, with a vellum 'curtain' - not quite sure I pulled it off though - what do you think?
Also, the only problem is, I can't get on the docrafts site this evening for some reason and we're off to legoland tomorrow, so I think I'm gonna miss the deadline but hey-ho, at least it got the creative juices flowing!!

Ingredients: Kraftin' Kimmie stamp watercoloured with chalk inks, Papermania vellum and capsule collection paper, pearl card embossed with Nat cuttlebug embossing folder.

Had to go to the hospital this morning, only to see the dietitian though, so nothing major. I've now managed to get my weight up to 8 stone and my BMI is 18.5, so I'm now just on the cusp of being underweight. Had a funny conversation with the dietitian where she basically told me to carry on eating at least 2 M&S Banoffee desserts every day as they're obviously doing me good!! We were also talking about how hard it is for people to understand, now that everything is so geared towards healthy eating, that people like me need to eat as much fattening food as possible. Anyway, enough rambling about boring health stuff.
This is the card I made for one of the challenges on the docrafts forum....

I was pretty pleased with the way it turned out. What d'you think? Magnolia stamps are my most recent obsession and I've managed to accumulate quite a lot of them in a short space of time but this is the first complete card I've made with them so far. I've stamped and coloured some of the images in before but they never seemed to look right so I never ended up making a card with them but I think I've cracked it cos this one I watercoloured with my chalk inks and I really like the effect. Expect to see lots more Tildas!!
Ingredients: Magnolia Tilda with Puppy stamp, watercoloured with chalk inks. Papers: Panduro Tilda Springtime paper stack. Ribbon bow made with Pebbles ribbon.

Hi - I'm back. Started this blog but then didn't really have alot to say for myself so it kinda fell by the wayside. I was also having a bit of 'crafters block'. However, I promise that from now on I'll be a bit more consistent - and also, with this card, my mojo is back!! I hope you like it. Dad came up earlier with the computer desk that he 'found' while he was at work, so this afternoon, I've been setting it all up and have now got my printer set up alongside the computer, which also makes blogging much easier cos I can scan the cards in - much quicker, easier and prettier!!
Anyway TTFN - promise I won't leave it so long til next time!

Ingredients: Paper/Embellishments - Fiskars, Stamp - CC Designs coloured with pro markers.
