Throw Us Some Shapes!

Morning! Today's challenge over at My Mum's Craft Shop Challenges is 'Throw Us Some Shapes' - so we want to see anything other than square/rectangular creations! I was asked by my neighbour to whip her something up for her niece's 18th and she said she's a 'girly girl', so I thought it would be a perfect oppotunity to make a double easel. Here's my card (get ready for lots of pics - soz!):

Ingredients:
Image - Saturated Canary coloured with Spectrum Noirs.
Card Blank - Double Easel Kanban.
Papers - K & Co.
Sentiments - Craftwork Cards.
Other - Nesties and Cuttlebug used to cut image/number mats. Slice used to cut out numbers/letters. Letters and numbers covered with Glossy Accents, numbers then covered with glitter. Gems from stash and positioned with Bazzill Basics Jewel templates. Flowers cut with MS punch.

Hope you like it! Thanks loads for popping by - I'm trying to get round and visit everyone over the next day or so. And don't forget to check out my teamies amazing creations over at MMCS - and join in with the challenge of course!! TTFN......xx

Delightful Challenge DT Card - Easel Cards

Morning peeps! The new challenge starting today over at Delightful Challenges is to make 'Easel Cards' and here's mine:

There's also a new release at Digital Delights and so the adorable image that I got to work with is called 'Love you Lara', which I've coloured with my promarkers. My heart easel card is made using some heart shaped cards that I've had in my stash for ages and I've covered them with Bazzill Basics pink card and Cupcake Cards and Crafts paper. I've then layered up various mats made of the same paper/card and cut using my Nellie Snellen multi frame heart shaped dies and cuttlebug. Then I've added some ribbon from my stash and a rub on sentiment from Crate paper and ta-da, there's my card!!!
I'm also going to enter my card in the following challenges:
And that's about it for now. Hop over to the challenge blog and check out the rest of the new release and what the rest of the DT has been making!! And don't forget to take part in the challenge - you don't have to use a Digital Delights image but if you do, you get an extra entry for the prize!! I'd love to hear from you, as always. Have a good day. Back soon......

The Best Is Yet To Be....

Here's my first attempt at the Sketch and Stash Challenge - I like the idea of this challenge blog cos I've got loads of stuff that I've not used yet and I buy stuff all the time (!!!), so it seems like it was made for me!! For my card, I've made an easel card for the first time and, as I'm never one for doing things by halves - and also because of the sketch requirements - I've made a round one. I really love the look of these, so it'll definitely be something that I'll be repeating!! Most of the things on this card are being used for the first time.... the Manga Girl image from Sugar Nellie I bought ages ago but this is the first time I've ever used it and the Basic Grey Ambrosia papers and Daisy Bucket sentiment stamp are both brand new - they were reduced, so I ordered them from The Craft Emporium. I went a bit picture crazy but it's hard to get a good angle with these cards and cos they're dimensional, they can't be scanned in. Overall, I was pretty pleased with the way it turned out - the only thing is, I used Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey distress inks to colour in her tights and I thought the SM would be more orange and the WH more yellow, but they're virtually the same colour - a small issue though! I'd really love to know what you think of it!

Ingredients: Image - Manga Girl from Sugar Nellie watercoloured with distress inks, Backing Papers - Basic Grey Ambrosia, Flowers - Prima and Papermania, Craftwork Cards Card Candy, Sentiment Stamp - Daisy Bucket Designs. Also used: nestibilities and nellie snellen dies.
