Sunday Sketch & Stamp Birthday Blog Hop!!!

Morning! I hope you've all remembered that the clocks went back an hour last night - I never like losing an hour but at least the night's will be a bit lighter now and that means that summer's coming!!!
There's a new challenge today over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp and because we've reached the huge milestone of 200 sketches, we decided to have a bit of a celebration with a blog hop, some special guests and lots of prizes.
We've made cards using any of the past sketches and I used Sketch # 195:

and here's the card I made with it:

The sketch is there - under all those embellies! I've used a Magnolia image (watercoloured with DIs) and papers, a Whimsy sentiment stamp, the lace, charm, envelope and corner are all from Live and Love Crafts, the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and I've used two Magnolia Doohickey dies, and an Impression Obssession die as well as the usual Spellbinders, plus gems, etc from my stash. Hope you like it!

Now for those of you taking part in the hop, you should've arrived here from the wonderful Pops, (if you didn't, you need to go back to the challenge blog and start at the beginning). Make sure you leave me a comment in case there's a prize hidden here and now you need to carry on hopping over to:

Enjoy the rest of the hop and the rest of your weekend. Bye for now.................xx

Where Flowers Bloom..........

Morning! It's time for the reminder post over at the Friday Sketch Challenge, so you've got one more week to get those entries in! Here's my attempt at the sketch:

I used a Lili of the Valley image coloured with Promarkers, Spectrum Noirs and stickled wings, the papers are the very lush First Edition Floral Pavilion and I've added a sentiment which was a magazine freebie, some Wild Orchid flowers, a Magnolia Doohickey die-cut fence and Metal Butterfly from my stash - both of which got the crackle paint treatment all topped off with some pearls!
Hope ya like it and I hope you're all well. Don't forget to join in with the Friday Sketch Challenge, it's a great one to work with! Bye for now........xx

'A creative mess is better than idle tidiness'!!

Hi Everyone! It's Friday which means there's a new sketch over at the Friday Sketch Challenge and this week, it's one by Janine. Here's my card:
Ingredients:
Image - Inky Impressions coloured with spectrum noirs and promarkers.
Papers - Freebies from a magazine by Lilly Bimble.
Die Cuts - Magnolia Doohickey Doily, Marianne Designs Hearts, Spellbinders Nestie Circle.
Other - Sentiment from Elzybells, Glossy Accents (on ruler), WRMK corner chomper and gems from stash.

The papers I've used were free with this month's Quick Cards magazine but were so lush I had to go and check out Lilly Bimble and when I saw that you could get 50% off by using coupon code BIMBLE50, I couldn't help it when a few digi paper downloads slipped into my basket!! Go and have a looksy!

I'm also entering my card into the following challenges:
I think that's about it! I'd love to hear what you think of my card and please hop over and check out my wonderful teamie's creations over at the Friday Sketch Challenge and I hope you'll join in! We've got two wonderful sponsors this week - Inky Impressions (whose image I've worked with) and The Digi Garden (who the other half of the team worked with). I don't know if you've heard the terribly sad news about Jacqui from The Digi Garden - she has passed away this week. Such shocking news as although she'd been ill for some time, she'd still managed to keep the store going and hadn't let it hold her back. It's so hard to find the right words at times like this but my thoughts are with Jacqui's friends and family and she will be missed in the crafting community...............xx

The Princess and The Frog

Morning! There's a new challenge starting today over at My Mum's Craft Shop Challenges and this week, we want to see your cards inspired by 'Fairytales'. Here's mine:
Ingredients:
Image - Saturated Canary coloured with Spectrum Noirs.
Papers - Imaginisce.
Ribbon - Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Twine - Bunny Zoe's.
Brad - Wild Orchid Crafts.
Flowers and Spacer - The Hobby House @ Ally Pally.
Dies - Magnolia Doohickey border.
Other - Bazzill Basics pink card, Charm from stash.

This image makes me laugh cos the Princess looks like she kissed the frog expecting him to turn into a Prince but is really p***ed off that he didn't!! Sometimes a frog is just a frog - I read that somewhere once, maybe it was a bumper sticker?!
I'm also entering my card into the Willow Sketchie Challenge cos I followed their fabby sketch - and theme as it happens cos I've used a die too! And I'm also entering it Bunny Zoe's Challenge 23, which is Ribbon or Twine, and I've used both!
Right, I think that's about it from me for now. Have you been watching the new SWALK shows over on Create and Craft? I've been waiting for these stamps to be released since I started seeing the previews so I've already bought mine!! Bye for now, lovelies..............xx

SWALK - My Sister, My Friend....

Morning! It's Sunday which can only mean one thing over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp - there's a new challenge! And this week, it's a fab sketch by Maggie. Now I must confess when I first saw it I wasn't sure what I was going to do, but once I had an idea and now my card's finished, I think the sketch rocks!!! Here's my card:
Ingredients:
Image - SWALK coloured with Spectrum Noirs.
Papers - Prima Madeline.
Raffia Ribbon - Bunny Zoe's.
Flowers - Imaginisce (big fabric ones) and Wild Orchid Crafts (small flat ones and roses).
Other - Magnolia Doohickey Tilda Doily Die and Gems from stash.

I LOVE the papers in this gorgeous Prima pad - the colours and patterns and the way they work together are fab!! And what d'you think of my colouring? I kinda liked the way this image turned out. I'm also entering my card into the following challenges:
And I think that's it for now! Enjoy the last day of the weekend - hope you've had a good one so far! TTFN........xx

What's your favourite colour?

The reason I ask is because there's a new challenge starting today over at My Mum's Craft Shop Challenges and we want to see your creations in your fave colour combo. Now I must admit, I have more than one fave colour combo, so I just had to run with one of them! Here's my card:

Ingredients:
Image - Hanglar & Stanglar coloured with Spectrum Noirs.
Papers - Nitwits.
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards.
Flowers - Woodware and Wild Orchid Crafts.
Seam Binding - WOC.
Dies - Heart Border-Magnolia Doohickey, Butterflies-Marianne Designs.
Other - Pearls and Button from stash.

Does anyone know what's going on with Hanglar at the moment? Their shop is empty and the challenges haven't run since last year and no-one on the facebook group seems to know what's going on!?! It'll be a real shame if they have closed down because I know lots of people who love their images (me included obviously!)
I might be back later to add in some challenges but my son's off school today because he came down this morning all poorly - and as I said to him, he never says he's ill or tries to get off school so when he says he is, I do believe him!
Don't forget to hop over and check out my teamie's fab creations and of course, join in with the challenge!! TTFN...........xx

Paper Cupcakes DT Card

Good Morning! And it's the start of another week.....it really is marching on now towards Christmas (and not forgetting my birthday ;-)) I'm so behind, I've done hardly any chrimbo shopping so I'll have to get a wriggle on in the next couple of weeks. Today's the day for a new challenge at Paper Cupcakes and this week, the lovely Nilla has set a colour challenge - she wants us to use any Paper Cupcakes image with only the colours Red and Cream. Here's my card:

I've coloured my Paper Cupcakes image with promarkers (and a bit of stickles!) and then layered it all up with Papermania paper and Bazzill Basics card. I've used ribbon and gems from my stash and I've finally got the chance to use my new Magnolia Doohickey's lace die - am lovin' it, will def be buying more of these dies!! (Although alot of styles are out of stock just about everywhere - unless anyone can tell me where I can get the tag and the flower dies?!?) You would've laughed if you'd seen me making this card - I didn't have any red and cream DPs, only red and white so there was me, colouring in all the dots with my vanilla promarker pen!!! LOL! That's dedication for ya!
I used the sketch for week #130 at Sketch Saturday for my card, so I'll be entering it over there. That's all for now, have a good day!
