Know this.......U R #1

Evening All. Hope you've all had a good week and are ready to rock the weekend!! First of all, let me show you the card I want to share with you all tonight:

I've used one of the fabulous Simply Sassy images from Sugar Nellie - d'you know I've bought every one of these stamps on the day of their release but this is only about the 4th card I've made with them. I've got them all stamped out and some have been coloured but I've never liked a range of stamps as much as I like these and it might sound silly but I almost don't want to make a card with them unless I feel I can do it justice. Does that sound stupid??!! I've got to a stage now though where I've got quite a few ready in the pipeline now!! All the papers and die cuts/border are from October Afternoon 'Schoolhouse' and I went a bit crazy with the buttons, which I've had in my stash for ages, some of which I've tied little bows on with twine.
Tonight's card was one of those ones that I felt pretty happy with when I'd finished it and when I made it a few day's ago, I didn't actually make it for any challenges, but when I was looking around, it fits into Desert Island Crafts Challenge #3 - from the itinerary, I've matched it to: 1. Make it Square, 4. Hand coloured image (I actually used promarkers on this one for a change), 5. 2 or more Patterned Papers and 7. Twine. You have to match 3 or more. I'm also entering it into Papertake Weekly's 'Anything Goes' challenge.
I really do hope you like this card, I feel like there's 'more of me in it' than usual IYKWIM?!? I'd love to hear your comments as always! Enjoy the rest of your Friday night, I'm off to watch Criminal Minds. Kisses xx

Welcome Spring.....with something v cute!!!

There's a new challenge starting today at Delightful Challenges and we're also celebrating the new March release - you really need to check these out, if you need to make any Easter cards for any kids in your family (or anyone who likes super cute images!) then these are just perfect!! The theme for the challenge is 'Welcome Spring' and here's my card:
I've used 'Easter Daisy' and 'Easter Accessories' on my card (the other 'accessories', a bunny and an easter basket, I've used inside the card and on the envelope), which have all been coloured with promarkers. I've used Coredinations cardstock with some magazine freebie paper. The border's been cut with a Martha Stewart punch and I've added ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and some Craftwork Cards card candy and that's it!!
I followed the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches, so I'll be entering it in for their #83 and I'll also be entering it into Everybody Art, The Crazy Challenge and By The Cute and Girly, who are all having Spring challenges.
Right, that's it from me for now. I've had big plans the past couple of nights of cards that I want to whip up and all your blogs that I want to get around and visit and then I've gone and nodded off on the sofa!! Hopefully one day I'll sort out my insomnia problems and keep the same hours as everyone else!! Luckily I don't work so I can catch up with a few zzz's sometimes during the day if I have to!! Anyways, have a good Thursday! It's nearly the weekend, peeps!! Sending hugs......

Cute as a Cupcake

Hello again! There's a new challenge starting today at Scrap Creations and this week, the theme is 'kids'. There's a great prize of 7 images from Bugaboo and with lots of fab new images, this is one you'll want to win! Here's my card, using one of the new Bugaboo images, Ava Cupcake:
Isn't she the cutest!!?? The good thing about these images is that with the addition of the little skulls, if you coloured it in a different way, it would also appeal to a more 'grungy' teenage audience as well as being 'cutesy' IYKWIM!?! I've coloured the image with promarkers. The paper and ribbon are from Papermania 'Little Cake Shoppe' and I've used DCWV pink card. I used nesties to die cut the image and mat and a Magnolia doohickey border. Then I've added a Craftwork Cards sentiment (with a handwritten addition from me - 'scuse the dodgy writing!!) Lastly, I've made up some flowers using my MFT rolled rose dies.
I'm also entering it into the following:
OK and that's about it! I hope you've liked both cards today, I'd love to read any comments that you'd like to leave. Luckily, I've got a bit ahead of my DT duties, so I'm off to play now with the new stamps that dropped through my letterbox a little while ago. Can't wait to ink up these little beauties - I won't tell you what they are, I'll keep you guessing til I've got something to show you!! Have good day's everyone! TTFN!

Rock Star

Yay, Happy March!! I'm only excited cos it means that surely we're distancing ourselves from this freezing cold weather as the days go by (although it certainly didn't seem like it when I was out walking the dog!!) Today, the new monthly challenge at the Cupcake Craftroom kicks off and this time around, to celebrate the release of the 'Little Black Box' papers - which is also up for grabs as the prize - the theme is 'Monochromatic'. Here's my card:
I've used one of the LBB papers, of course and The Stamping Boutique's 'Max', who I've coloured with promarkers and a sakura stardust pen. I've matted the image on some black card and I've also added a star border cut out using a MFT die. Lastly, I've used my Slice to cut out the 'Rock' lettering in black card and silver mirri circles to mount the letters onto and two stars out of black card and mirri. It does look better IRL - in this picture you can't see the shine of the silver card or the sparkle from the stardust pen, but hey-ho!!
I'm also entering my card into the following challenges:
And that's about it. D'you know it's funny, I enter all these challenges and I NEVER win. I think I must be the most unluckiest person ever - either that or my cards are just crap!!??
Back shortly - I've got another card to post. Mwah xx

Time to 'fess up..........

Right, I have to admit that sometimes I can be a bit thick. Not major league stoopid or anything like that, it's just that where I don't work, one day can sometimes seem like the next and time flies by and sometimes things just don't naturally occur to me. Last week, there was a new challenge at Southern Girls and it was my team's turn, to use Brads, Gems or Dewdrops on your project, but being a bit 'doh', I got confused about the time difference (it's based in New Zealand) and hadn't posted my card. I told the team and was waiting to hear whether I should go ahead and post it late or skip it all together but haven't heard anything, so in the end, I've decided to post it cos it's one of the cards that I'm actually quite happy with and I don't want it to go to waste LOL! Well, here it is:

I've watercoloured a LOTV image with distress inks - and added a papermania glittery brad at the end of her 'wand' and stickles on her wings. The papers are all from My Mind's Eye with some Bazzill Basics card for matting. I've also used a Craftwork cards sentiment, Woodware flowers, Papermania brads, a Martha Stewart punched border, some ribbon from my stash and a couple of dew drops.
I'm also entering my card into the following challenges:
I really do hope you like my card and please leave me a comment, I love reading them - whenever I log on and see that I've got a new comment, it always makes me happy and I can't tell you how much I appreciate everyone who takes the time to visit me. I'll be back in the morning with a new Scrap Creations project. Night, night........

Spring has sprung - let's have a toast (of tea!)

There's a new challenge at Paper Cupcakes today and it's all about Spring! Pat P wants us to use Spring colours - yellows, greens and blues. Here's my card:
I've used 'Tea for Two' coloured with promarkers (and a bit of stickles and pearly pen!), the papers, ribbon and bow are all Papermania. I've used a polkadoodles sentiment and a hobbycraft flower and that's about it!!
I'm also entering my card into the Paper Cutz Challenge # 80 - Spring and Crafty Sentiments 'Spring' challenge.
I hope you like my card and that the yellow cheers you up a bit on this dreary day (it's certainly dreary in London anyway!!) Have a good week.
